Me Too And Do You Really Get Over It? by Jackie Pilossoph for Chicago Tribune Pioneer Press

It’s been almost 30 years and I can still remember the pit I had in my stomach every time I had to walk by the office of my old boss. I would cringe, while praying the older, unappealing married man was on the phone or otherwise preoccupied so he wouldn’t be able to call me into his office to hit on me and/or say inappropriate things to me. In other words: me, too. I was sexually harassed, and it made me feel uncomfortable, unsafe and embarrassed.

Although I don’t wish sexual harassment on anyone, it has been a great comfort to me to see Hollywood women coming forward with their stories, along with the hundreds of “Me too” Facebook posts by women who experienced the same disgusting and inappropriate behavior as I did. Because guess what? I have never actually told a soul about what happened to me until writing this column.
