Kimberly DeBroux, CDFA®

Real Estate Agent, Real Estate Collaboration Specialist - Divorce, Certified Growth Coach

When Kim DeBroux went through a divorce in the year 2000, she said she felt lost. She said she and her now ex husband had decisions to make about property divisions and that things felt overwhelming.

She said she needed more than just legal advice, she needed someone knowledgeable in real estate and financial matters to guide her.

It was this experience that led Kim to pursuing the training she now has to help couples going through a divorce navigate real estate decisions without stress and uncertainty. Kim, who worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley for several years, has been a real estate agent for 26 years. She is also a real estate collaboration specialist in divorce, and has written two books to help those facing divorce.

We are so excited to call Kim a Divorced Girl Smiling trusted professional! Welcome, Kim!

About Kimberly

Kim DeBroux has been a prominent figure in the real estate sector since 1999, where she owned and operated a comprehensive real estate company that encompassed mortgage, escrow, and loan processing services. Throughout her career, she has effectively managed over 45 agents. Kim’s professional background includes holding Series 7 and Series 63 licenses while serving as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. Additionally, she was certified as a Divorce Financial Analyst. Drawing from her experiences with two distinct divorces, Kim finds immense fulfillment in assisting clients in achieving equitable divorce settlements.

One of her most recent accomplishments is earning the designation of Real Estate Collaboration Specialist – Divorce (RCS-D). In this role, Kim collaborates with individuals undergoing divorce and their attorneys to gather essential documentation that facilitates fair discussions regarding marital real estate during settlement negotiations. She typically becomes involved early in the process to ensure that mediation is based on accurate information, preventing any unforeseen issues after a settlement is reached. Moreover, she provides ongoing support to help each party secure or maintain an optimal housing arrangement tailored to their unique situations.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Kim actively contributes to the community through her long-standing membership with Rotary International and specifically the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks. This organization raises approximately $135,000 annually for local charities. As a Rotarian since 1989, Kim takes pride in Rotary’s efforts to combat Polio, respond to both local and global emergencies, provide humanitarian aid in developing nations, and support children and local charitable initiatives. Currently serving as a Broker-Associate with eXp Realty of California, Inc., Kim also dedicates time to coaching other eXp Real Estate agents.
