David personally went through a divorce, years before meeting the love of his life, and said he understands the pain and the loss people experience during this tough transition.
Working as a divorce mediator since 2010, David is also a collaborative divorce professional. He practices both in New York, where he used to reside, and in Illinois.

About David
David Louis has been a professional mediator since 2010. He serves clients in the Chicago area, where he relocated from upstate New York with his family in 2016 and established Louis Mediation Services. He has been a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst since 2013.
As he was in New York, David is strongly credentialed in Chicago—as a fellow with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, on the volunteer council of the Center for Conflict Resolution, and a member of the Associate for Conflict Resolution (national and Chicago chapters), the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. David extends his training regularly through continuing education seminars and study.
David worked in finance for over 30 years, completing his first career as chief financial officer for an organization with a $100 million annual budget. David also served as an elected public official with a reputation as a consensus builder. At age 50, thinking about next steps in his career, he chose mediation.
