Anthony Diaz calls himself a peacemaker. Why? A combination of spending several years in court as an Assistant State Attorney and going through two painful divorces made him realize the importance and benefits of divorcing amicably.
For the past 19 years, Anthony, who is also a CPA, has been practicing collaborative divorce law and mediation to ensure his clients have fair outcomes and healthy post-divorce co-parenting relationships.

About Anthony
Anthony J. Diaz was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in New York City. While working full-time, he earned his accounting degree from St. Johns University. Anthony was admitted to practice in 1998 after graduating from Stetson University.
Before opening his private practice Anthony was an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida and personally handled thousands of cases such as DUI Manslaughter, Robbery with a Firearm, Drug Possession, Grand Theft and Misdemeanors.

Mediator
Anthony J. Diaz is certified by the Florida Supreme Court to mediate Circuit Civil and county court matters. In addition, Mr. Diaz is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and has completed the family law mediation program and additional advanced mediation training. Mediation is an alternative for divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution and other issues faced by divorcing couples. Mr. Diaz is also a Certified Mediator in Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mediation can also be effective for cohabitating and same sex couples seeking to reach agreements concerning division of jointly purchased property and other assets. Mr. Diaz is also trained and is experienced in handling Pro-Se Divorce Mediation matters. Arbitrator
Mr. Diaz is a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator with extensive experience as an attorney for more than ten years as well as an extensive background in accounting and finance as a former CPA. This translates well in his role in arbitration cases.
Anthony Diaz is one of the very few professionals who is Florida Supreme Court Certified in both Family and Circuit Civil Mediation as well as State Qualified as an Arbitrator and trained in Collaborative Divorce.

Anthony J. Diaz offers insightful experience from his prior knowledge of over 15 years as a former New York CPA, a skill which translates well in his role in litigation and arbitration cases. He is prepared to assist clients with the many financial components and complexities of litigation, mediation, arbitration, divorce, and other issues. In addition, he is assertive, approachable and strong, which also enables him to have professional interactions with his colleagues, Judges, the Court system and his clients.
