Amber Hollingsworth, LPC, MAC

Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, Founder, Hope for Families Recovery Center

If you’re suffering from addiction, or your spouse or another family member is, traditional recovery programs will tell you a few things: you are powerless over the addict, he or she must go into a program to recover, and he or she needs to hit rock bottom before they decide to get help. Well, Amber Hollingsworth disagrees.

Amber, who spent several years running an intensive outpatient program for addiction, decided to think outside the box and create a method she felt was, well frankly, more effective.

Amber is the founder of Hope For Families Recovery Center, a company that offers online courses, a new kind of intervention method, private coaching, and group coaching memberships for both those suffering from addiction and their families.

Whether you are trying to save your marriage or you are going through a divorce, Hope for Families is a way for you and your family to begin healing. I am so proud and excited to have Amber and Hope for Families as a Divorced Girl Smiling trusted professional!

What people are saying about Hope for Families

“Thank you to Amber!

I had a phone consult with her a few months ago- have been watching the YouTube Videos and doing some of the Family Recovery work- I was able to get my husband into rehab. He is at treatment in North GA and I literally couldn't have done it without you! I know it is just a first step and we have a long way to go but had I not been patient, stopped being the bad guy and giving tons of ineffective ultimatums, etc., it would not have happened and I believe we would be divorced. ”

“As an addict, I've never heard anyone come close to understanding what's in my mind as Amber has.

She actually gets it. When I listen to advice she tells family members - I think she"nailed" it. If my spouse responded that way I would want to be my best for them. Her advise to families on how to manage "us" is spot on. The goal is to support but not enable and she has that intention/wording perfect for us to accept ourselves and accept help. In decades of trying to survive this addiction I've listened to so many sources and I'm blown away by Amber.”

“This coaching session was just what I needed.

I needed it to help me navigate my spouse's upcoming transition home from sober living. Kim demonstrated a deep knowledge and understanding of addiction and its impact on relationships. Her insightful feedback helped me to understand the importance of setting and communicating clear boundaries, as well as identify ways to re-establish trust.”
